Waid Vontz wins RVL golf title

BENKELMAN -- Cambridge golfer Waid Vontz won individual medalist honors at the Republican Valley League golf meet at Benkelman Friday.

Southern Valley came in second, Cambridge third and Dundy County in fourth. Rounding out were Southwest and Arapahoe in sixth and seventh.

Derek Larimer of Dundy County won the playoff with Jake Ring of Alma for the number two spot.

Four players played off for the number 4 position with Sebastion Edwards of Arapahoe winning.

Southern Valley had three players vying for the eight seat and Dylan Knuth winning that playoff.
