Tower request is postponed

Friday, January 21, 2005

A request to the McCook Board of Zoning Adjustment to consider allowing McCook Public Power District to place a 350-foot tower in west McCook has been postponed until a later date.

According to City Manager John Bingham, Stan Goodwin, the attorney representing MPPD has requested that the item be removed from Monday's meeting agenda.

Bingham said this morning that if the request is denied by the board, the only recourse left to the applicant is to file a suit in Red Willow County District Court. The report in the Gazette that the item would be forwarded to the McCook City Council was incorrect.
