Letter to the Editor

Thanks, Dr. Blank

Thursday, November 4, 2004

Dear Editor,

Don Blank isn't alone. Many people in and well beyond this district are sorry he lost his bid for another term on the Board of Regents.

But given the taxonomic structure of the ubiquitous creature inhabiting the region (homo fundamentalii), it is singularly unremarkable the good Dr. Blank's public service came to an end.

What's noteworthy is how it came to last so long. The real loss, of course, is to the University and the Board and will be felt for many years to come.

Thank you Dr. Blank, for your long and faithful service to the University and to the people of Nebraska.
