LEMOYNE -- E. Kay (Land) Smith, 66, died Wednesday (Sept. 15, 2004) at her home in Lemoyne.

She was born Feb. 27, 1938, to Cecil and Edith (Wolverton) Land in Dickens. In 1943, the family moved to North Plate where she attended school.

On Dec. 10, 1955, she married Marvin "Corky" Smith. The moved to Denver in 1956, where she was employed at Porter Hospital. She retired in 1999. In 2000, they moved to Lemoyne.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Land; and mother, Edith (Wolverton) Land.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin; daughters, Debbie and husband, Bob Driggers and Bonnie and husband, Randy Gohl, all of Denver, Colo., and Pam and husband, Bruce Gaylord of Lemoyne; son, Terry and wife, Ramie of Denver; brothers and sisters, Don and wife, Jeannette of Kansas City, Dean and wife, Vivian of Culbertson, Sandy and husband, Edward Perrault of North Platte, Cheryl and husband, Joe Fisher of North Platte and Gene of North Platte; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was Friday at the Community Wesleyan Church in Lewellen. Funeral services were Monday at Rose Arbor Chapel in Denver.
