Credit due

Dear Editor:

After receiving so many compliments on the looks of the City of Indianola Cemetery, we felt the need to give credit where credit is due. The Indianola City Council wishes to make known the following:

The week prior to Memorial Day, several member of the McCook Work Ethic Camp came to help mow, trim, paint, etc., at the cemetery. This crew was not satisfied to just do the jobs assigned them, but went beyond by asking permission to do things they felt would make the job more complete. For instance, they asked for brooms to clean the mowed and trimmed grass from the base of the stones.

We may have been the ones hearing the compliments, but felt the members of the Work Ethic Camp should know their work was very much noticed and they should be given credit for it. The City of Indianola wishes to express their "Thanks" for a job well done.
