George the Patriot

There has been a lot of talk lately about whether Bush missed any National Guard meetings in Alabama. Only one guy can place him there, and he is suspect. Who cares? George's dad was a senator or head of the CIA at the time, and could have pulled a few strings and gotten him an honorable discharge. It has happened before. What bothers me is that George wrapped himself in the American Flag after 9-11 and tried to convey himself as a great leader and a super patriot. He joined the National Guard in 1968, as the war was heating up. He says he is comfortable with his actions. My thought is, if he was so patriotic and a born leader, why didn't he go to Vietnam and share his leadership with the troops. And they call Clinton a draft dodger.
