Explaining letter

Tuesday, February 3, 2004

Dear Editor,

I would like to explain my letter of 1-27 A.D. 2004.

Everyone has God or a false god. Whatever is first in your life is God or a false god. Everyone tithes to God or their false god. A false god will pacify but it will not satisfy. Your false god will disappoint you, sooner or later because a false god is not perfect. We all seek a savior. If money is your god, you will never have enough. If revenge is your god, you will never get enough. If your wife or husband is your god, they will fail you eventually. Everyone is trying to fill that God-shaped blank in their heart, that's what religion is.

Jesus satisfies. Jesus wants His children to prosper, but He must be first in our lives. If you seek God first, and His righteousness. He will take care of the details in wondrous ways! Some find God the easy way, some find God the hard way, some never find God. God will never fail you or forsake you.

We can depend on Him. He is perfect and He tells the whole truth -- and nothing but the truth, always. The hand that feeds me is the nail scarred hand of Jesus Christ. 1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." Lay your burden down. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. You will ever have peace without the Prince of peace.

Sincerely,

George R. Anderson

McCook
