Francis William Johnson

ATWOOD -- Francis William Johnson, 90, died Saturday (Dec. 6, 2003) at his home in Atwood.

He was born Aug. 26, 1913, to John W. and Mary (Benning) Johnson in Herndon.

On July 21, 1934, he married Inez Rummel. In the early 40s, he began operating Johnson Construction Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John; two sisters, Gladys Haller and Alvada McMurtry.

Survivors include his wife, Inez of Atwood; daughter, Dwilia and husband, Don Argabright of Atwood; son, Dwayne and wife, Demis of Atwood; two brothers, Harry and wife, Virginia of Baltimore, Md., and Henry of Denver, Colo.; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services are Wednesday, 1:30 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Atwood, with Eldean Griffith officiating.

Memorials may be given in his name and left at Williams Funeral Home in Atwood.
