Hue and cry
Thursday, November 20, 2003
Dear Editor,
Last week in an apparent crackdown on insurgents, U.S. forces destroyed a dye factory in Baghdad, Iraq.
Would this turn the owners purple with rage? Does this mean the enemy was spotted? Do these events stain anyone's conscience? It could give a person the blues.
Let us hope there was no discrimination on basis of color. The destruction of the dye factory might have been intended to give them a yellow streak.
We can only hope this event has changed the political/economic spectrum.
