Letter to the Editor

Wedding suit

Thursday, October 30, 2003

I was given a copy of the Gazette that carried (Walt Sehnert's) article on Joe Uhrich, which was interesting to me, as he sold me my wedding suit in May or June in 1944, soon 60 years.

We will, the Lord willing, celebrate our 60th on June 12, 2004.

I picked out a suit that was comfortable to me, but he sold me the suit with the coat a size smaller. He said I should look good, even if I wasn't quite so comfortable. Ha!

Oh, yes, I bought a shirt and tie, too, but I bought my shoes from Ralph Clark in Oberlin, as he had shoes that fit me.

Yours truly,

Wesley G. Benda

Addition

An Open Forum letter from Carol J. Lashley should have included the P.S. "We may not know who you are -- but remember, God knows."
