Lois Steiner

OBERLIN -- Lois Steiner, 90, died Thursday, (Jan. 10, 2002) at Decatur County Hospital.

She was born September 30, 1911, in rural Decatur County to Chris and Nellie (Moore) Mines. She graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1929.

On Feb. 14, 1942, she married Carl Steiner. They farmed southwest of Oberlin until they moved to town in 1973. She was a homemaker and a farm wife.

She was a member of the Royal Neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; her brother, Cecil; her sisters, Marguerite, Evelyn, Nina, and Mildred; and her nephew, Howard Morton.

Survivors include nephews, Keith Mines of McPherson, Kan., and Kyle Mines of Herford, Texas; and nieces, Patty Carswell of Osborne, Kan., and Delphine Spencer of Culbertson.

Grave side services will be Monday, 11 a.m., at Oberlin Cemetery in Oberlin, Kan.

Visitation is Sunday 2 p.m. - 8 p.m., and Monday, 8 a.m. until service time at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin, Kan.

Memorials may be left in her name at Cedar Living Center.
