OBERLIN -- Mariam F. Allison, 92, died Saturday (July 27, 2002) at the Decatur County Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin.

She was born July 28, 1909, to Randolph J. and Lula (Bradly) Forrest in El Reno, Okla. She attended school in El Reno, Carrizozo, N.M. and Edmond, Okla.

On Aug. 9, 1930, she married Roy Richard Allison in El Reno. The couple resided in Chicago, Homewood, Ill., and Brewster, Kan., before moving to Oberlin in 1994. She was a bookkeeper and a homemaker.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; one brother, Randolph B. Forrest; one sister, Fern Pieratt; and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Robison of Fountain Hills, Ariz. and Patricia and husband, John Wright of Oberlin; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at the Brewster United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug Hasty and the Rev. Dorine Chambers officiating. Interment will be in the Brewster Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until service time at the church in Brewster. The casket will be closed to the public.

Memorials may be given in her name to the Brewster Senior Center or to the Brewster United Methodist Church.
