Opinion

No room for appeal

Wednesday, October 24, 2001

With regard to the water lawsuit, after reading the judge's decision, it seems to me like the individuals who drew up the contract made sure that there was no way out for the city. Who were they actually representing?

It is my opinion that the judge reviewed every detail and left no room for an appeal.

I do not feel like the City Council should waste any more tax dollars on an appeal, when they should look at themselves for the problems that arose.

Decisions were made that were not in the best interest of the citizens of McCook, and they should take responsibility for these actions.

The citizens should not have to pay for this misrepresentation.
