Appalled at cruelty

Dear Editor,

In response to the Gazette (Open Forum) Wednesday, Dec. 26, by Patty Brown, and thanks to the Humane Society for their wonderfully kind deeds, as a lover of animals and all living things, I am appalled at the cruelty displayed toward "Buddy."

I truly believe the person or persons responsible for his neglected conditions should slowly be starved to death in a roomful of totally deaf and blind people who could not hear his cries for mercy. Some people should not be allowed to take up space in God's world and Buddy's owners are two of them.

Surely one other member of the family existed and chose to turn away from his cries. Shame on you.
