Gym not needed
Dear Editor,
I was at the meeting last night on the merger of Twin Valley.
They had blueprints of the new school that they propose to build. There was a school teacher there who voiced her opinion, and I value it very much.
She was concerned how the location of the classrooms for the sixth graders and the high schooler, well from what I could see, there are not enough classrooms for the future.
I came out of a school that had a graduating class of over 600 students in 1974, and we only had just the one gym. What is the purpose of the second gym? One is enough. I say, plan more classrooms and have just the one gym.
The education of the children is more important than the second gym.
Thank you,
Kevin Dunn
