McCook residents sentenced Monday

Three McCook residents were sentenced Monday on various criminal mischief, trespassing and drug charges in Red Willow district court.

James T. Richardson, 19, McCook was sentenced to 24 months of intensive supervised probation for attempted criminal mischief, a Class I misdemeanor and second degree criminal trespassing, a Class III misdemeanor.

Richardson, who was involved in a March 28, 2002, incident where he and two others trespassed on to Butler's Beef Acres and caused $300 of damage to vents on the roof of the building. He originally pleaded no contest to trespassing and criminal mischief, a Class IV felony. The charges were amended during a plea agreement.

Kimberly S. Randles, 30, of McCook was sentenced to 18 months probation and a $150 fine for third degree assault, a Class I misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, infraction; possession of marijuana, infraction; and attempted possession of controlled substance, a Class I misdemeanor.

Randles was involved in a Nov. 21, 2001, incident where she assaulted Janie Randles. Police officials found the drug paraphernalia on Randles when she was arrested.

She was originally charged with third degree assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance, a Class IV felony, to which she pleaded no contest.

Jeffery J. Wilson, 25, McCook, was sentenced to 24 months probation and 10 weekends in jail for third degree assault, a Class IV felony and two counts of criminal mischief, a Class II misdemeanor. Wilson who was originally charged for terroristic threats, a Class IV felony had his charges amended to third degree assault during a plea agreement. Wilson was involved in an April 21, 2002 incident where he went to a house owned by Connie Horn and threatened to kill Robin Johnson of McCook, who was residing in the home. Wilson, according to police records, caused damage to Johnson's vehicle and tore a telephone junction and wires from the outside of the house . Total damage was estimated at around $300.
