Does the IRS want to send you money?

Friday, November 15, 2002

Three McCook residents have not yet received their 2001 tax refund from the Internal Revenue Service.

Patrick and Pamela Minary and Jamie Shepherd did not receive their refunds because, most likely, the taxpayer moved and did not notify the IRS.

These McCook residents and others who have not received their refunds can check on the status by logging on to irs.gov. The users should click on the "Where's my refund?"

button and then enter their social security number, their filing status (such as single, married, filing jointly, etc.) and the amount of the refund shown on their 2001 tax return. Those without internet access can call toll-free at (800) 829-1040.
