Same effect

Dear Editor,

It is understandable that Ms. Frances Louise Nicholson might be a little upset about the wording of your article regarding the motion to dismiss her lawsuit. It is my opinion, however, that regardless of whether she actually mentions the "merger" in her lawsuit, the decision on her attempt at preventing the issuance of bonds will greatly impact the merger, and altogether could prevent it.

And to Ms. Nicholson, since you're so worried about reporting all the facts, I thought I might take a moment to point one out to you. The fact is that if 49.7 percent of both districts voted against the issuance of bonds, that means 50.3 percent voted in favor. Last time I checked, 50.3 percent is a majority vote.

It seems to me that the people of both districts have spoken. Maybe you should let their voices be heard, rather than focus so much on your own.
