McCook United Way sponsored its 9th annual 5k run/walk and 1 mile fun run on Saturday as a kick-off event for the 2009 fund drive. Eighty-nine runners hit the streets of McCook bright and early and enjoyed perfect running weather. The route led participants through portions of the Kelley Creek walking trail, up and down several hills around Kelley Park and Centennial Drive, and finally down Norris Avenue to finish at the United Methodist Church...
