Some may not realize that Indianola once played host to a World War II German prisoner of war camp, or that the small hamlet of Lebanon was once a major center for shipping cattle to market on the Burlington and Missouri River Railroad and that Lebanon businesses such as the local dressmaker, butcher, well borer, furniture maker, confectionary, cobbler and painter were burned out three times between 1894 and 1939.. ...

We are so proud of the fall Bison sports. I do think some of them have been slighted as far as coverage and recognition goes. It seems like each sport has its heroes which would be recognized as well as the rest of the team. Usually the heroes would not be heroes without the help of the rest of the team...
