Dear Editor, The concept of a water advisory committee seems excellent when first considered. But the devil is in the details. The council has been very reluctant to accept opinions from city residents in the past. To serve on an "advisory" committee which would be unable to make a formal recommendation as do other boards and committees, would be tantamount to being a rubber stamp for any council decisions.
