Colling, Jones exchange vows

Kathleen and Alphonsus Jones

BEAVERTON, Oregon -- Kathleen Marie Colling of Palacios, Texas, and Alphonsus Beverly Jones of Honolulu, Hawaii, were united in marriage on June 27, 2009, at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Beaverton with the Revs. Jeffrey Hubbard, friend of the bride and Pat McNamee, pastor of St. Cecilia Church, officiating.

Parents of the couple are Joseph and Eileen Colling of McCook and Alphonso and Muriel Jones of Altadena, California.

The matron of honor was sister of the bride, Karen Stolz of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Bridesmaids were Leigh Ann Roemer of Palacios, Texas, and Mandee Prouty of Fort Collins, Colorado. Sister of the bride, Maureen Colling of Windsor, Colorado, was the bride's personal attendant.

Michael Meeks of Gaston, Oregon, was the best man. Bridegroomsmen were Stafford Nelson of Plymouth, Minnesota, and brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Timothy Hobbs of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Flower girls were nieces of the bridegroom, Lauren Wilmore of San Marino, California, Samantha Nelson of Plymouth, Minnesota, and Taylor Nelson of Plymouth. The ring bearer was Cody Meeks of Gaston, Oregon.

Ushers were brother of the bride, Richard Colling of Austin, Texas, nephew of the bride, Jeremy Lecon of Yoakum, Texas, and nephew of the bride, Bobby Sawyer of Windsor. Candlelighters were nephews of the bride, Jeremy Lecon, of Yoakum, Texas, and Bobby Sawyer of Windsor.

Guest book attendant for the wedding was Kati Prouty of Fort Collins and guest book attendant for the reception was Anne Zink of Springfield, Ohio. Music was provided by organist, Joanne Skidmore of Beaverton, Oregon, and vocalists, brother-in-law of the bride, Patrick Stolz of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and sister of the bridegroom, Leilani Jones Wilmore of San Marino, California.

A dinner and dance reception was at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Lake Oswego, Oregon, the evening of the wedding and was hosted by the bride's parents, Joseph and Eileen Colling. An appetizer reception preceded it. Alphonso and Muriel Jones, parents of the bridegroom, hosted the rehearsal dinner at six o'clock in the evening on June 26 at Hayden's Grill in Tualatin, Oregon.

Gift table attendants were Jeff and Angela Randall of Raleigh, North Carolina. Leilani Jones Wilmore, sister of the bridegroom, sang the song for the couple's first dance.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Palacios High School in Texas and a 2000 graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in nursing and a minor in biology. Prior to her move to Oregon, she was a registered nurse at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado, in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She is now enjoying time at home as a wife and is a referring travel agent for the couple's Internet business "Travel with Us."

The bridegroom is a 1976 graduate of Damien Memorial High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. A 1992 and 1994 graduate of the Community College of the Air Force he has an Associate in Applied Science degree in avionic systems technology and an instructor of technology and military science. He is a 2004 graduate of the University of Phoenix, Hillsboro, Oregon, campus with a Bachelor of Science in business and e-business. He is an employee of Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Oregon.

The couple enjoyed a two-month extended honeymoon across the United States visiting many historical places, national parks, and national monuments.

They reside in Beaverton.
