CURTIS -- DeVona E. Roudebush, 82, died Friday (April 9, 2010) at Linden Court in North Platte.

She was born on April 1, 1928, to Everett and Martha (Clawson) Cole on the Cole Farm, south of Curtis. She lived her entire life in Curtis. She graduated from University of Nebraska School of Agriculture.

On July 3, 1947, she married William J. Kleinow. On Jan. 21, 1977, she married LeRoy Roudebush at the Methodist Church in Curtis.

She taught at the rural schools in Frontier County. Later, she worked at Adam's Drug Store in Curtis and then worked as a teller at Curtis State Bank.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Curtis where she played the bells.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, William J. Kleinow and second husband, LeRoy Roudebush.

Survivors include her son, Bill and wife, Teri Kleinow of North Platte; daughter, Karen and husband, Frank Medo of Calif.; step-daughters, Janice and husband, Jerry Jurgens of North Platte, Kathy and husband, Ron Rupert of Mc Cook, Susan and husband, Morgan Baethke of Iowa; step-son, Fred and wife, Lanita Roudebush of Hawaii; brothers, Don and wife, Marge Cole of Calif., Gerald and wife, Gladys Cole of Curtis, Wayne and wife, Claudia Cole of Calif.; sister, Connie and husband, Lanny Bellamy of Lincoln; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Curtis with the Rev. Lana Fong officiating. Interment to follow at the Curtis Cemetery.
