OBERLIN -- Florence Berneice Fisher, 79, died Wednesday (April 13, 2005) at Decatur County Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin.

She was born Dec. 16, 1925, in Trenton to Arthur and Lena (Hiatt) McDowell. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1944.

On Oct. 31, 1944, she married Everett George Fisher. To this union three children were born. They made their home in McCook where she was a homemaker. They were owner/operators of Fisher's Produce for many years. After they sold their business, she worked for Brown's Shoe Fit for 12 years until her retirement. She had been living in Oberlin for the past ten years.

She was a member of the McCook Eagles and Veteran's Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lena McDowell; and one sister, Louise Ellis.

Survivors include her husband, Everett Fisher of Oberlin; one son, Harold Fisher and wife, Diane of Culbertson; two daughters, Colleen Geihsler of Oberlin and Cheryl and husband, Dale Stewart of Indianola; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services are Saturday, 11 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is today until 5 p.m., and Friday 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friends may go online at www.carpenterbreland.com to extend condolences.
