Friday tragedy brings outpouring of love, support

Details of Friday's tragedy are still unfolding, but there are a few lessons to be taken away already.
For one, show our family and friends we love them while we can. We never know when our relationships may be broken forever.
For another, young people need to know their actions and decisions have consequences. A bad decision can haunt them and their families for the rest of their lives.
For those of us who remember the pre-Internet days -- anyone older than, say 25 -- a perusal of Facebook posts related to the case is glimpse into a whole new world, teens living out a sometimes chaotic life through electronic connections.
But the Internet only spotlights an outpouring of grief and concern by family and friends of Kailee Clapp, the 14 year old girl who lost her life early Friday morning.
We join in their grief and concern.
Sadly, too often it takes a tragedy like this for many of us to reveal our feelings with those with whom we share our lives.
But it is reassuring to see the outpouring of love and support the community is showing toward Kailee's friends and family.
