ARAPAHOE -- Janet Andrews, 70, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (Dec. 19, 2007) at C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.

She was born Dec. 24, 1936, in Springer, N.M., to George and Margaret (Miller) Laumbach. She was baptized and confirmed as a member of the Methodist Church in Springer, N.M., in 1950. She graduated from Springer High School in 1954. She attended college at the University of Denver. She was hired in 1958, to teach business classes at the high school in Cambridge.

She married Richard "Dick" Andrews in Springer, N.M., on June 9, 1961 and made their home on a farm southwest of Holbrook.

She worked at Urbom Law Office in Arapahoe and then Frenchman Irrigation District in Cambridge for a number of years. During the 1990s she co-owned a craft shop, "Honeysuckle Crafts," in Cambridge. In 1994, they moved from the farm into Cambridge. Her husband preceded her in death in August of 1998.

She married Earnest tenBensel on June 20, 2004, at Wilsonville. In December of 2007, she moved to Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.

She gave piano lessons and was active in an interdenominational Bible study group and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Cambridge. She helped start the Holbrook Music Club and was a member of the Cambridge Music Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Richard N. Andrews.

Survivors include her husband, Earnest tenBensel of Cambridge; son, Glen Andrews of Beaver City; daughters, Patricia and husband, Brent Bacon of Pine Bluffs, Wyo., and Sandra and husband, Merrill Stagemeyer of Cambridge; brother, Karl and wife, Toni Laumbach of Las Cruces, N.M.; sisters, Ruth and husband, Dave Fried of Austin, Texas and Louise and husband, Phillip Luft of Salisbury, Md.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church in Cambridge, with the Revs. David Rowe and Keith Theobald officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery at Cambridge.

Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe and prior to services at the church.
