Arline N. Green, 84, died Saturday (March 24, 2007) at Community Hospital in McCook. 

She was born June 6, 1922, to Lester L. and Nell M. (Mader) Kramer at Grand Island. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1939, and McCook Community College in 1975.

She married William E. Green on April 17, 1943, in Washington D.C. 

She was a member of First Congregational Church, Past President Nebraska PTA, and many school organizations, Adult Basic Education at McCook College, Post Matron of Order of Eastern Star, and was an avid bridge player.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son; sister, Velma Morgan; and brother-in-law, Dwight "Lavere" Morgan.

She is survived by her husband, William; children, Barbara Kay Lem of Pleasant Hill, Calif., William E. Green, Jr. and wife, Sally "Chris" of Richland, Wash., Peggy Arline Mason of North Platte, Patty Ann Howard and husband, Tom of Derby, Kan., Michael James Green and wife, Bev of McCook; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church with the Rev. Steve Bales officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
