E. Dale Brush

HAYES CENTER -- Earl Dale Brush died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at his home in Hayes Center at the age of 75.

He was born Dec. 19, 1929, in Bartley to Lewellyn and Rosa Belle (Crosby) Brush. He grew up in Bartley where he received his education and also began farming on the family farm.

On May 18, 1950, Dale married Phyllis Smith in McCook. During their married life they resided in Kansas and Colorado before returning to Nebraska and moving to Hayes Center in 1974.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Myron Brush and Marion Brush; and three sisters, Ruth Roth, Elda Wilson and Alice Halley.

Dale is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Hayes Center; seven children, Gary Brush and wife, Jeri of Bruel, Rick Brush of Holdrege, Joyce Anderson and husband, Levi of North Platte, Vicky Giesenhagen and husband, Jim of Colby, Kan., Allen Brush and wife, Cathy of North Bend, Kathy DeGarmo of North Platte and Robert Brush and wife, Teresa of Hayes Center; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Monday, 10:30 a.m., at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with Tom Volz officiating. Interment will be in Bartley Cemetery in Bartley.
