Trojans meeting Vikings for boys subdistrict title tonight
BERTRAND, Neb. — RPAC rivals Cambridge and Bertrand play for a subdistrict title tonight after both winning semifinals Tuedsay evening.
The No. 2-seed Trojans broke free from Southwest, 67-52, with seniors Brady Ahlemyer scoring 22 points and Hodge Raburn netting another 15.
Maverick Webb’s 13 and 12 from Braydon Miller were enough to overcome one more sensational 36-point performance from Southwest senior Houston Billeter.
The Six-Man Football “Player Of The Year” was joined by eight from top receiver Deric Kelly with eight points while Jacob Barber (five) and Brody Hammond (eight) teamed for eight. . Meanwhile, No. 1 Bertrand scored a 76-47 semifinal win over Southern Valley. The Eagles (6-18) fell short though senior Isaac Hamilton put 23 pointsd through those nets and freshman Houston Hunt tossed in 10. Senior Jacob Rice added eight with four from Hunter Lans and senior Tate Weatherwax two.
