Still time to sign up for stained-glass bus tour

McCOOK, Neb.— There is still time to register for this year’s Buffalo Commons Storytelling and Music Festival bus tour.

This year’s bus tour on June 14 will explore the history of some of the area’s more incredible stained-glass displays as well as the history and stories behind some of these acquisitions and creations. Stops are planned at locations in Culbertson, McCook and Indianola.

The tour begins at 9 a.m. with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Museum of the High Plains in McCook.

The bus tour goes from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and will focus on stunning window art creations, descriptive narratives and correlated side stories. Entertainment and storytelling will also be provided along the way.

Cost is $30 and pre-registration is required. This includes lunch and a pie break.

  • It's not too late to put a viewing of the Bison herd adjacent to the Red Willow SRA. I do have a "program" to present about the Bison if there is a slot for this event.
