GRAND ISALND, Neb. – A Norton, Kan., corrections supervisor has been apprehended by Grand Island police on charges of sex trafficking. Logan Runnion, 34, was arrested at his residence in Norton following a joint operation between the Grand Island Police Department and the Norton County Sheriff's Office.

According to a statement from GIPD, the investigation was initiated in early April 2024 after Runnion contacted an undercover social media account operated by a GIPD investigator. Posing as an underage juvenile female, the officer engaged in communications with Runnion, which eventually led to evidence of the alleged crimes.

A search warrant was executed at Runnion's home to gather further evidence, although details from an affidavit filed in Hall County Court have been kept confidential.

Runnion has been detained at the Norton County Jail and is awaiting extradition to Nebraska to face charges in Hall County Court. He stands accused of sex trafficking of a minor, enticement by electronic device, and sexual assault.

Social media accounts associated with the Norton Correctional Facility confirm that Runnion holds a supervisory position within the Kansas corrections system.
