McCook golf boys sail past Vikings by one for Lakeside title

LEXINGTON, Neb. — McCook High's varsity golf boys competed at Lakeside Golf Course on Tuesdayh for the Lexington Boys Golf Invitational. T

he Bison came away with the victory with a team score of 316. Grand Island Northwest was runner-up with a score of 317, Minden was third with a score of 343.

Junior Reid Loop won the invite with a score of a 75.

Sophomore Landon Kmoch was runner-up with a 76.

Senior Cole Graham was also a top 10 finisher with a score of 80.

Other Bison scores were Kolton Koetter 85 and Trenton Raile 85.

"Proud of the performance from the Bison golfers. Reid Loop and Landon Kmoch had some awesome rounds to finish first and second," coach Ben Vetrovsky remarked. " Cole Graham played great as well with a top 10 finish. Those three golfers are really starting to play at an elite level.

Kolton Koetter and Trenton Raile continue to improve their games and their competition scores are starting to show. We are excited about hosting our home invite (at Heritage Hills) on Tuesday."
