Michael Augustine Cady

April 23 1961 - March 27 2024

McCOOK, Neb. - Michael Augustine Cady, 63, passed away after a short sickness in the VA hospital.

Michael was born in Arvada, Colo. on April 23, 1961 to Ome Edward Cady and Mary Jean Cady of Denver, Colo.

Mike lived in Arvada and Golden, Colo. most of his life. He was a entrepreneur and started Mr. Mikes Shoe Repair in Ole Arvada, worked in construction and cement, HVAC, and other labor jobs.

Mike enjoyed skiing, golf, organizing parties with bands, and his beloved dog, Jack, who was always by his side. Mike owned a cabin in Fairplay Colo. with his brothers.

He joined the U.S. Army and received a medical discharge.

Mike was never married but lived with his siblings, Steven and Kathleen, in McCook since 2015. He was proud of the house he and Steve bought and fixed up in McCook, including solar power array and metal art on the siding.

He is Preceeded by his brothers Dennis Daniel Steven Cady, and sister Teri Hackman

He is survived by Patrick Cady, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Pauline Cady of Grand Junction, Colo.; Debi McNeil of Cheyenne, Wyo.; Kim Hughes of Erie, Colo.; Joseph Cady of Commerce City, Colo.; Kathleen Cady of McCook, Neb.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials in Michael’s memory can be made to the Fisher House at the VA Hospital in Omaha, Neb. Their kindness deeply touched the family.
