OVERTON, Neb. - LaVon May Seybold, age 79, of Overton, Neb., passed away at the Mount Carmel Home in Kearney, Neb. on Oct. 18, 2023.

She was born on Oct. 2, 1944 in Sutherland, Nebraska to Floyd and LaVon Houser.

LaVon married Leo Seybold on Sept. 16, 1962. They spent the early years of their marriage in Paxton, Neb, where they had their five children. The couple later moved to Wellington, Colo, in 1979. When they decided to retire in 1997, they purchased a small acreage outside of Overton, Neb.

Lavon enjoyed a multitude of activities, ceramics, gardening, and raising animals just to name a few.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; parents, Floyd and Lavon; her twin brother, LaVern; and grandson, Bruce.

LaVon is survived by her sister, Rosalie Pinney of North Platte, Neb.; brother, William Houser of Elwood, Neb.; her children: Doris (Mark) Martindale of Funk, Neb., Ronnie (Shari) Seybold of Amherst, Neb., Shirley (Bret) Seybold Lamb of Odessa, Neb., Barbara (Shane) Robbs Criger of McCook, Neb., and Lonnie (Ann) Seybold of Howells, Neb.; as well as eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen and graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 11, 2023 at the Trenton Cemetery, Trenton, Neb.
