Round Belly rolling with Terps, Huskers, 'Horns to score wins

Friday, October 6, 2023

Gazette scribbler Round Belly Headley is fired up about some of the matchups filling this weekend’s college slate and predicts:

Okay this is not big but some seem to care:

NEBRASKA slips past Illinois somehow tonight. Don’t ask how but it will likely be close.

How about MARYLAND knocking off No. 4 Ohio State in the old Horshoe? The Terps finally arrive and give Nebraska another rough foe in their upcoming schedule.

No. 1 GEORGIA holds off No. 20 Kentucky;

No. 5 TEXAS takes the Red Rever Rivalry over equally unbeaten No. 12 Oklahoma in quite a game again at the Cotton Bowl;

No. 23 LSU drops No. 21 Missouri from the unbeaten ranks. Come on, ol Mizzou has always been despised among classic Cornhusker fans.

TEXAS A&M trips up No. 11 Alabama? Uhhh. no let’s stay with the CRIMSON TIDE one more week.

WYOMING over No. 24 Fresno State? Why not? The Pokes are 4-1.

No. 9 USC topples Arizona despite little Trojan defense.

Take KANSAS STATE to down Oklahoma State tonight and KANSAS rebounds from a Texas loss against UCF.

Both Sunflower state teams are outshining the Bugeaters again.

NFL picks:

Still gotta take NINERS over Cowboys though don’t be surprised if Dallas win. After all, it’s not Dak Prescott playoff time yet.

Also VIKINGS upset Chiefs, what else would R.B. pick, and TayTay Swift is seen looking sad.

Other pro picks:'

J-E-T-S. Jets Jets Jets! They win at Denver to end the Broncos' winning surge at one game.

RAVENS continue their early sweep through division rival stadiums: at the Bengals, at the Browns and at the Steelers on Sunday.

LIONS continue teasing their fans and keep Carolina Panthers winless.

BILLS over Jaguars, ending the usual Jags magic in London.
