College ready to adopt $51 million budget
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The Mid-Plains Community College board is set to adopt a $51.594 million annual budget at its regular meeting Wednesday.
Meeting at 6:40 p.m. in the North Campus, 1101 Halligan Drive, the governors will consider a plan that calls for $17.405 million in property taxes and a 1% increase in the base limitations, carrying forward $4.738 million from the 2023-24 to 2024-25 budget year.
Other items include:
• Bills for August: The board will consider approving bills for August, totaling $2,295,113.93. Board members who received reimbursements during the month will abstain from voting on those items.
• Trans 5-Year Contract Extension: The board will consider a five-year contract extension for the TransACT school notification system.
• Policy Amendments: The board will discuss the second and final reading of a number of amended policies.
• Closed Session, Negotiations: A closed session for negotiations is scheduled.
