AIKEN, S.C. - Kristi Helen Schlegel, 68, went to be with her Lord on Jan. 18, 2023 in Aiken, S.C. where she had been living since 1995.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Douglas Schlegel; and grandparents, Floyd and Doris (Jennings) Covert and Willard and Helen (Nelson) Schlegel.

Left to celebrate her memory are her brothers, Tim (Kathy) Schlegel of Eucha, Okla.; Mike (Carol) Schlegel of Culbertson, Neb.; nieces and nephews, Megan (Chuck) Mayo of Gravette, Ark., Kelly (Jeff) Burks of Little Rock, Ark., and Matthew (Tricia) Schlegel of Oakland, Iowa, Lisa (Troy) Brown of Gering, Neb., and Tanner (Jessica) Schlegel of McCook; thirteen great-nieces and nephews, one great-great nephew; cousins, friends and the neighbors of Dogwood Road.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023 at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Pastor Jeff Kelley officiating. Inurnment will follow services in the Culbertson Cemetery, Culbertson, Neb.

Local arrangements have been entrusted to Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook.
