Commanders cap unbeaten title run; Colts and Cowboys prevail
McCOOK, Neb. — The Commanders are McCook Football League Fifth-Sixth Grade champions with their 15-6 win over Rams Thursday night.
Beau Bednar delivered two more touchdowns for five total through these three contests.
Meanwhile, 6-6-6 never looked better cosidering that’s all the Caommander defense permitted during this 3-o champion season.
The Rams could have taken this title but places second overall at 2-1.
The Cowboys earned a final win over Eagles (0-3) in Thursday’s other fifth-sixth grade finale.
Meanwhile, the Colts can cap a 3-0 season if they take down Raiders tonight. They blanked the Chiefs, 24-0, on Thursday benind Breck Horner’s three TD runs with an average scoring distance of 38 yards.
