MFL adjusting game schedules due to high-high heat
McCOOK, Neb. —McCook Football League director Joe Vetrovsky provided this statement about how fans can watch doubleheaders at Weiland Field four consecutive nights this week.
“After looking at the high temperatures in the weather forecast for the upcoming week, we have decided to adjust our McCook Football League practice and game schedule for the final week,” the Bison head football coach explained. “ The decision to adjust our schedule is based solely upon the best interest of the players while also attempting to carry out the rest of our McCook FootballLeague season in the safest manner possible. Thank you for everyone’s understanding and willingness to be flexible.”
Originally, games were kicking off at 6 p.m. on Monday and Thursday nights this week.
The adjusted slate features 8 p.m. doubleheaders Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.
