Major facility announced in Obelin

Mike Flint, AKRS Operations Director for Region 2, announced the construction of a new 30,000 sq ft facility in Oberlin, Kansas at the Gateway on Friday. This facility will replace their current store and rented building in Oberlin. The facility will be located across the highway North of the Oberlin cemetery and will feature a sales and parts area as well as 16 bays for maintenance and repairs, all climate controlled. The expected completion date is January 2024 and AKRS will employ 15 highly skilled, good paid employees. Flint said, “We are going to invest in Oberlin”. AKRS has 27 John Deere dealerships in Nebraska and Kansas and projects to do 2 more rebuilds or builds in the next 12 to 18 months.
