Bison golfers in Sidney top two, host Coleman invite today

McCOOK, Neb. — McCook High’s boys delivered a great warm-up for their Coleman Invite today with a runner-up Sidney Invitational team finish on Monday.

Sophomore Reid Loop led the Bison’s 30 as he shot 79 for sixth place in this 10-team tourney.

Classmate Landon Kmoch was one just stroke off Loop’s pace in eighth place (80).

Kmoch won an individual championship last week.

Cole Graham took 12th overall at 82 and senior Eli Kehler dropped his score to 89 for McCook’s 340 team total.

Kolton Koetter recorded a respectable 93 in his varsity season.

“Proud of the players’ efforts today from top to bottom,” coach Ben Vetrovsky commented. “We are trending in the right direction with our scores. I still believe there is major improvement ahead.”

The Bison are playing their annual Coleman Invitational at Heritage Hills today.
