The family of Kenneth Solko of McCook is requesting a card shower in honor of his 75th birthday on Friday, Dec. 2, 2023. He was a farmer in Herndon, Kan., with the Solko Brothers until 1998. After that, he worked at Valmont in McCook for 22 years, from March 2000-March 2022. His family includes his daughter, Kristal (Justin) Payton of Indianola, Neb.; and two grandchildren, Tyler and Jaxton Payton of Indianola.
