McCook Bison defense overwhelmed Ogallala from the start Friday night as Canyon Hosick (4), Eli Kehler (68), Alex Anthony, Mitchel Cole (50) and Garrett Kaps (43) all crash through the line to take down quarterback Harry Caskey. The undefeated Bison (6-0) allowed their fewest points yet this season in a 37-6 win at Weiland Field.

McCOOK, Neb. — Only an Ogallala double-reverse trick touchdown pass kept the McCook Bison from shutting out their district rivals in a still dominating 37-6 win at Weiland Field Friday night.

The Bison (6-0 record) jumped quickly to 14-0 on long touchdowns from seniors Lucas Gomez-Wilson (pass reception) and Jacob Gomez-Wilson (run).

Ogallala (3-3) stayed within 14-6 until halftime, but the Bison scored three TDs during a truly awesome third quarter.

The Bison unleashed big plays for their first two touchdowns Friday night whether it was senior Jacob Gomez-Wilson running loose (above) or senior Lucas Gomez-Wilson (below) pulling in a long pass from quarterback Adam Dugger in the first quarter against Ogallala.

Jacob Gomez-Wilson, senior quarterback Adam Dugger and junior Brett Fraker all ran for TDs.

A majestic 42-yard field goal from junior Patrick Gross capped the scoring.

McCook never allowed Ogallala quarterback Harry Caskey to get running and the Bison basically shut down any passing after intermission.
