FCB was close to win until needed shower arrived

Wednesday, June 8, 2022
Carter Larson dove safely back to first base (above) while catcher Lincoln Michaelis (below) gets set and throws out a Chase County runner during McCook First Central Bank Legion baseball action Sunday. The FCB Juniors were leading 4-2 but Chase County rallied for a 7-6 edge in their seventh. Lightning and a good rain forced this game to be suspended until June 17, where these teams will resume in Imperial. The McCook National Bank Seniors game was rained out. Both teams are set to play again today against Lexington in a 5:30/8 p.m. doubleheader at the Jaycees Complex.
