Dear Editor,

Hillcrest Nursing home represents Red Willow County in providing care to many persons that formerly were young and active citizens. Thank you, Red Willow citizens that went to the polls in the early ’60s and voted in a county nursing home.

Today we can more understand the importance of having this county facility. An example of uncontrolled and outside ownership can be seen throughout Nebraska. In Arapahoe for instance, the outside corporation closed their nursing home early this year.

The May election will provide four candidates to fill two commissioner vacancies. Please express your selection by voting for your best county representative.

Yes, I know. I write as if I am in love with Hillcrest … I am and I also appreciate everyone working there.
