OBERLIN, Kan. — Terry Lee Lippelmann, 67, passed away on Jan. 1, 2022, in Colby. He was born on May 1, 1954 in Oberlin, Kan., to Gordon and Mildred (Cramer) Lippelmann, of which he was the second of three sons. Terry grew up on the family farm southwest of Oberlin.

During his school years, he was involved with the Sappa Valley 4-H Club and the Oberlin FFA Chapter. After graduating from Decatur Community High School in 1972, he continued his education at North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit, Kan., obtaining a degree in diesel/heavy equipment mechanics.

Terry has spent his life in the Oberlin area farming on the family farm and doing mechanic work. His pasttimes were racing cars, attending farm auctions and gathering with friends to shoot and reload. He was also a member of the Bassettville Township Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Mildred; niece, Stephanie; and nephew, Rye.

Survivors include two brothers, Dan (Vickie) of Oberlin and Jon (Marilyn) of Crystal Beach, Texas; nephews, Milo (Melissa) of Oberlin and Wheat (Michelle) of Colby, Kan.; nine great-nieces and nephews, four great-great-nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Memorial service will be on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at 10 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home, Oberlin. Inurnment will be at Bassettville Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Prairie Senior Living Complex. Condolences can be left at www.paulsfh.com
