Bridge work planned near Arapahoe

McCook, Neb. — Weather permitting, work will begin Nov. 1 on US-6/34 at the Muddy Creek Bridge, west of Arapahoe, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Bridges Inc., of Newton, Kansas, has a $3,598,848 contract. Work includes new bridge construction, grading, and asphaltic concrete overlay. A 13-foot width restriction will be in place.

Traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals. The anticipated completion is fall 2022.

 Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
