Trojans sweep to home tournament championship

CAMBRIDGE, Neb. — Cambridge's returning district finalists won all six sets to take their home tournament title on Saturday while Southwest earned second and Wauneta-Palisade third at this early-season volleyball event.

All three of the top players were fresh off season-opening victories Thursday evening.

Cambridge (4-0) allowed no foe closer than 25-20 on Saturday. The Trojans swept Southwest 25-18, 25-20 in Saturday's title match.

Both the Roughriders (3-1) and Broncos (3-1) won two of three matches. Rawlins County, Kan., (1-2) earned fifth place with a final victory over Red Cloud.
