McCOOK, Neb. — A celebration of state and country filled McCook’s City Auditorium while Brian Blade defended his Midwest Wrestling Association pro title Friday evening.

Top challenger Prince Rahim entered the ring wearing both a full robe and turban — prompting several fans to chant “USA! USA! USA!”

Meanwhile, Blade entered wearing a Nebraska Huskers red t-shirt touting the state connection to his construction business. Blade does a lot of work around the Lincoln area even though he’s based in Illinois.

Blade then entered the ring and threw or chased Rahim out several times during another successful defense of his heavyweight championship.

Other bouts from tag team to a women’s title match kept fans entertained.

An anticipated “street fight with few rules” didn’t disappoint Friday night when Midwest Wrestling Assocaition top women’s contender Stormy Renee (in white below) challenged Morgan LaVey for the title. Though Stormy took plenty of shots, Morgan eventually got the win to remain Women’s pro champion. The matches were heated (below left) even between tag teams and ref, but wrestlers like Stormy (below right) also thanked fans.
