SUTHERLAND, Neb. — Chase County made a clean swep of the C-9 team titles while qualifying 20 athletes into Class C state championship starting Wednesday at Omaha Burke Stadium.

The Chase girls dominated in every event, even placing among triple jumpers with freshman Katelyn Stamm’s top four finish.

They literally won every race on the track with senior Kamrie Dillan, juniors Lucy Spady,Jerzee Milner and sophomore Bryn McNair all winning multiple titles.

Chase County’s boys conquered a tighter team race though not too close, as the Longhorns were about 38 points ahead of top challenger Gordon-Rushville.

They showed remarkable balance while placing high in most events. Dawson Mollendor won multiple titles in the 100-meter dash and running on Chase’s 400-meter relay.

Kade Anderson hit a carer best as did Clay Meeske while winning two more races.
